Description:
Day Centers that provide supervised care for dependent adults. To receive funding from Milwaukee County Department on Aging, the facility must be certified by the State of Wisconsin. Services may include social and recreational activities; training to maintain or regain skills related to activities of daily living (walking, dressing, bathing, mouth care, toileting); meals; bathing; hair and/or nail care; physical, occupational, and speech therapy; activities and social gatherings; and some provide transportation. Some centers specialize in care for persons with Alzheimer's Disease or related dementia. Some centers offer bathing services. Bathing services, usually once weekly, may be included in the day rate or may be available at an additional fee.
