The mission of the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King is to provide an outstanding living experience for military veterans and eligible dependents who have rendered unique service to their county, state, and fellow citizens.
WI Veterans Home at King care includes nursing care and managed care assistance. Medical services include:
Comprehensive Nursing Care 24/7
Complete Team of physicians and specialists
On staff full-time dentist
Physical, occupational, speech, recreation, and respiratory therapy
Lab and X-Ray services
All Pharmaceuticals
Complete eye care services
Medical transportation
Activities offered include: bingo, cards/cribbage/games, musical entertainment, birthday parties, meal outings, bus trips, baseball games, mini golf, fishing , pontooning, bowling, movie theater, woodshop and ceramics, billiards, coffee shop.
To be eligible a veteran must:
Have entered service from the state of Wisconsin, or
must have resided in the state of Wisconsin for 12 consecutive months since his/her discharge from military service, or a spouse or
A spouse of a veteran can also reside at the Wisconsin Veterans home, provided they are admitted with their spouse or under other special circumstances
Served on active duty for at least one qualifying term of service
