This program was established by the state legislature to investigate complaints from any person concerning improper treatment of elderly persons receiving long-term care in a Wisconsin nursing home, Community Based Residential Facility, or Adult Family Home licensed by the State of Wisconsin. The program also offers advocacy for Family Care participants age 60 and over statewide. The Ombudsman in this office will:

*Be an advocate to help resolve any problem or dispute relating to long-term care.

*Provides presentations on nursing home residents' rights and other topics related to long-term care.
