A free telephone relay service for anyone who has a hearing loss, is deaf, or speech impaired. In order to use the service, callers must have a text telephone or a device that allows people to read telephone conversations on a screen and type a response on a keyboard. The devices are available at no cost to low income people through the Telecommunication Equipment Program. You can also dial 711 for the quickest way to connect to the relay system. See website for additional telephone numbers.
Wisconsin Relay now offers STS Email Set-up. Now, STS users can email call instructions or information 2 to 24 hours prior to the call. This can include information such as the number to be dialed, the name of the person being called, any special instructions and the subject of the call, or anything that makes it easier for the STS user to complete the call. This feature cannot be used to request a specific relay operator, schedule an STS call or be used in lieu of placing a live call.
