Description:
Focus on Energy is Wisconsin utilities' statewide energy efficiency and renewable resource program. The Program works with Wisconsin residents and business to install cost-effective energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. Information, resources and financial incentives are provided to help implement energy-savings projects that otherwise might not happen. Focus on Energy is funded by the state's investor-owned utilities and participating municipal and electric cooperative utilities.
Among the programs accessible to resident homeowners are:
* Lighting and Appliances Program - Gives homeowners in-store discounts on Energy Star lighting products and clothes washers.
* Renewable Technology Incentives - Offers cash-back rewards for geothermal pumps and solar electric systems.
*Home Performance with Energy Star Program - Provides savings on air sealing, attic insulation, exterior wall insulation, sill box insulation and interior foundation insulation projects. Income qualifications vary.
*Residential and Enhanced Rewards Program - Provides cash-back rewards on heating and cooling equipment.
To participate in Focus on Energy programs, residents or business owners must be customers of a participating utility
