Description:
The Latino Geriatric Center is an innovative facility that provides comprehensive and customized services to elderly individuals with physical impediments, Alzheimer's disease, and other dementias. The expansive facility is uniquely designed to provide daily care to Latino elders of Milwaukee County that is bilingual and culturally competent.
Additionally, the Latino Geriatric Center provides screenings and evaluations for memory loss in the Memory Clinic and at home. You can call the bi-lingual memory clinic nurse at 414-649-2805 to discuss the case and determine the eligibility to be seen by the UCC memory clinic. A nurse and social worker will need about 2 hours of time to conduct the cognitive screening, family/caregiver interview and a home safety assement.
The center also supports primary physicians through outreach and education, as well as offering programs for families and caregivers including trainings and support groups.

The UCC Latino Geriatric Center is located on the 2nd floor of the United Community Center at 1028 S 9th Street, use the 8th Street entrance to access.
