Description:
The Wisconsin Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) is a federal/state program designed to assist individuals with disabilities to obtain, maintain, or improve employment. They are Wisconsin's primary provider of employment services to people with disabilities.
For the most part, DVR services are provided at no cost to the customer. There are a few exceptions to this general statement which would be discussed on an individual customer basis as needed.
A licensed, professional counselor assists each consumer to develop a plan for employment. Individualized services are then coordinated.
DVR services all of Racine County - (and all other counties in the state). There is a site in Racine. DVR counselors also visit schools, employer sites, and other relevant community locations as needed.
DVR is fully accessible - consumers should advise the DVR if special accommodations are needed.
