Description:
The programs promote the employability of those who are displaced from homemaking due to widowhood, divorce, separation, incarceration, war or disability of a spouse or who have lost or will soon lose spousal or state support. The programs are funded through state-funded grants awarded to technical colleges and/or local private non-profit organizations in order to provide a broad array of employment and training services. Such services include career exploration, vocational counseling, job search activities and follow-up services.
