Programs & Services

Our mission is to increase independence, maximize opportunities, minimize barriers, and enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities.

Easter Seals Wisconsin provides vital and unique services, briefly described below, to children and adults with disabilities and their families across our state. Our staff and volunteers are dedicated to helping each person we serve overcome obstacles to independence and reach personal goals.

- FARM Program

Created in 1992, the Easter Seals Wisconsin FARM Program helps farmers return to farming after a disabling accident or illness. Since its inception, the FARM Program, with a better than 97% success rate, has helped thousands of farmers with disabilities continue in agriculture, enjoying independence and supporting themselves and their families. The FARM Program proudly serves as the model for similar programs nationwide.

- Camp Wawbeek

Located just north of Wisconsin Dells, Easter Seals Camp Wawbeek has been providing traditional camp experiences in an accessible environment to children and adults with disabilities since 1938. Specialty sessions for various age groups and interests are offered as well as sessions for veterans and their families.

- Wisconsin Elks/Easter Seals Respite Camp

Also located in Wisconsin Dells, the Wisconsin Elks/Easter Seals Respite Camp offers camping and outdoor recreational opportunities for children and adults with disabilities who require one-to-one care. With their own personal counselor at their side, campers can enjoy a program personally tailored to their needs and interests. And while campers are having a wonderful time, families and caregivers can take advantage of some much-needed time off.

- Camp Kee-B-Waw Day Camp

Created for kids aged 6-13 from Wisconsin Dells and surrounding communities, Camp Kee-B-Waw Day Camp gives kids without disabilities the opportunity to experience our terrific facilities. Day campers enjoy outdoor fun and recreation including swimming, the high and low ropes courses and trips to nearby scenic parks and Dells area attractions. One week sessions are offered from June through August.

- Camp Group Rentals

From September through May, when camp is not in session, our facilities are available for group rentals. Weddings and reunions, business meetings and retreats have all been held on our grounds. Funds from rentals help support our programs and services.

- Self-Employment Services

Our Self-Employment Services Specialist works with individuals with disabilities interested in establishing their own business. Clients receive assistance to evaluate ideas from a business standpoint and from the perspective of whether the business can successfully accommodate their disability. The Self-Employment Services program is available in the greater Green Bay area.

- Avenues to Understanding

Avenues to Understanding is a comprehensive disability awareness educational curriculum for children and teens aged 3 – 18. The curriculum is available at no charge to public and private schools, early childhood programs and faith and community-based organizations throughout Wisconsin.

- Donation Center/Pick-Up Service

Whether it’s clothing, household goods or a used vehicle, Easter Seals Wisconsin can put it to good use. By donating your used item to Easter Seals, you are helping to keep our programs available to those who can benefit from them.

- Community Services

Easter Seals Wisconsin is committed to building community awareness and support for individuals with disabilities and the friends and family members who care about them. This assistance includes a resource database of programs for people with disabilities, educational materials and printed literature, and support groups.
