Many migrant services are offered in cooperation with local vocational and educational centers to eligible program participants. This includes emergency assistance/ referral/ counseling and assistance with housing.
Also UMOS HQ site in Milwaukee will be providing no appointment needed COVID testing starting May 11th. The sites will be open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and staffed by plainclothes members of the Wisconsin National Guard wearing personal protective equipment (PPE). According to a Department of Health Services email, the sites will each be able to collect 500 specimens per day, up from an earlier estimate of 400.
Individuals will need to wait 48 to 72 hours to get lab results back. Contact tracers will follow-up with all individuals that test positive.
