Provides kits for water testing - household package test kits available. Tests for bacteria, nitrates, and water quality. Fee charged. Provides assistance to homeowners in interpreting drinking water test results, in determining appropriate treatment options, and in identifying ways residents can protect their drinking water quality.
Taylor County offers a Drinking Water Testing Program with discounted test packages once per year. Bottles for the next program will be handed out in late July. The samples must be taken and returned by the 1st Monday in August, but watch our Facebook page and the Shopper in July for details.
