Description:
A program designed to assist informal caregivers who are caring for a person age 60 or older, or for grandparents age 60 and older raising grandchildren. The purpose of the program is to help support caregivers so that they may keep the care recipient at home for as long as possible. The Support Group is a great place for caregivers to share experiences and receive helpful information to assist with the caregiving process.
As part of the caregiver program, respite service is available so that caregivers may have time away from their daily responsibilities. Some in-home support services, such as personal care, housekeeping, and chore service are available. To receive assistance with support services, the care recipient must have difficulty with activities of daily living.
