United Way in Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties supports programs in three impact areas:
- Meeting Basic Needs - food, shelter and emergency services,
- Strengthening Families- drug dependency counseling and youth development, and
- Increasing Self-Sufficiency- community outreach and respite programs.

Community Fund Investments support 220-plus programs at over 110 local nonprofit agency partners who are making an impact on the health, education, and financial stability of everyone in our four-country region.

The Volunteer Center is a division of the United Way.
