Description:
Day One East is a day and vocational services program offering a balance of work and recreational opportunities in a structured environment. Daily activities provide consumers purpose in attending the program and allow them to interact with both staff and each other creating the least restrictive environment possible. The program offers specific and unique services such as transportation and hot meals to consumers. The environment promotes each individual's strengths, abilities and preferences and helps with participating as an active community member.
This program serves adults with a primary diagnosis of Intellectual Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and with co-occurring disorders; individuals with needs of ambulatory aids such as wheel-chairs, walkers or canes; American Sign Language and limited bi-lingual communication capabilities available upon request. This program also serves individuals presenting with Alzheimer's disease or Dementia.
