The Upper Midwest Pension Rights Project (UMPRP) is a non-profit legal advocacy agency that assists individuals, including seniors, retirees, and their spouses, with pension-related issues. we are sponsored by the (Minneapolis/St.Paul regional) Metropolitan Area Agency on Aging located in St. Paul Minnesota. The UMPRP serves residents in the states of Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, South Dakota and North Dakota. all of our services our provided free of charge, regardless of the individuals source or amount of income. There are no income restrictions to receive assistance.
The UMPRP provides direct advocacy on behalf of individuals and assists with locating and obtaining pensions and other retirement benefits individuals have earned through their years of hard work. we represent clients in formal Claims and Appeals for pension benefits; correcting pension miscalculations, overpayments and recoupment actions; obtaining and explaining complex pension plan documents; answering general questions about pension laws; and tracking down pensions benefits from past employers. we also provide assistance to spouses and beneficiaries.
