Description:
The mission of the Oregon Area Senior Center is to provide the support, services and opportunities for older adults to remain as independent as possible, in their own homes and in their own community. Area served: Villages of Oregon and Brooklyn and Town of Dunn, Fitchburg, Rutland and Oregon
Eligibility: Residents of Oregon School District are eligible for services and age 60 and older.
The purpose of the Oregon Area Senior Center is to support the older adult in the Oregon School District intellectually, physically, socially and emotionally in his/her quest to remain independent and in the community.
Services Offered:
*Adult day program
*Transportation
*Meals-Home delivered and congregate meals, daily
*Recreation
*Education; including complete computer lab
*Case management and information and assistance
*Health services; including annual flu inoculations, weekly blood pressure screening and weekly foot care
*Loan closet for medical equipment and supplies
*Other services which include; monthly newsletter; large print newsletter, exercise programs, retired and senior volunteer program, peer support, diabetic support group, tax preparation, intergenerational programs, Caregiver support group support group.
