Description:
Open Door is a peer support and recovery drop-in center for adults with mental illness.
The center functions similar to other "Drop-in" centers by providing a safe, supportive environment within a community for individuals who have experienced mental illness, trauma, addiction, and/or emotional challenges. Open Door, as a program of MHA, is a safe and comfortable place for peers with mental illness to drop-in to relax, socialize, meet new friends, and be without judgment.
Open Door provides ‘drop-in’ hours with leisure activities such as a pool table, foosball table, movies, board-games and a comfortable lounge area. Open Door operates from a recovery-based approach and perspective.
