Description:
Rural Housing is a non-profit organization providing housing assistance to prevent homelessness in rural Wisconsin communities. Rural Housing may provide assistance to low income households with security deposits, overdue rent, overdue utility charges, unpaid property taxes and mortgage payments.
Assistance is available one time only and does not provide ongoing rent or other assistance. Eligibility is based on the HUD County Median Income (CMI) Standards. Rural Housing focuses on those households whose annual gross household income is at or below 50% of CMI for their county and household size.
Applicants must be able to show the ability to make standard payments in the future. Applications must be completed and submitted to our office by fax or mail. Applications may be downloaded and printed from our website under the Forms and Manuals button.
Services depend on continued funding from state and Federal entities.
