Description:
Held at different sites throughout Racine County, Harmony Club is a social day program that provides quality care as well as companionship, socialization and activities for older adults. While the care recipient is at Harmony Club, the caregiver can benefit from up to six hours of personal time to meet their own needs.
Harmony Club is an ideal setting for dependent older adults who may have some memory loss, Parkinson’s disease or limitations due to a stroke, but are able to manage his or her own personal cares. Clubs are open to any senior who is at risk of social isolation or loneliness. For an individual requiring a higher level of care, including medication administration and assistance with activities of daily living, Adult Day Care is a more suitable option.
All Clubs meet from 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. All sites are handicap-accessible. A typical day, which is designed with the groups’ unique interests and experiences in mind and usually starts with morning coffee and conversation followed by enriching activities, stimulating games, entertainment and arts and crafts projects.
