Description:
Mission is to help adults and families acquire the reading, writing, math, English language, computer and workforce skills they need to function effectively as workers and comjunity members. Services offered include: adult tutoring for English speaking and limited English speaking adults ages 16 and up; morning and evening English Language Learner classes; Workforce Development programs that help companies implement customized workplace English Language programs for non English speaking employees. Children First Family Literacy; child tutoring by trained high school students for the children of adult learners; and Citizenship preparation. Educational services are free, and are for people of any nationality who want to learn English and for English speaking adults who need to improve basic reading, writing and math skills. All learners are evaluated for placement and monitored for learning gains and goal attainment. Assistance with studying for the GED also provided.
