Description:
The lifeline system is an emergency communication network that includes: a small call button that is worn either on a neckcord or wristband; a communicator unit connected to your home telephone; the emergency response center is located at the hospital.
When you push a button, the unit automatically dials the response center. At the hospital, the response equipment identifies you by your call. Immediately, the hospital will call you. If you do not answer, the hospital will contact one of your designated responders, who then goes to your home and checks on you. When theresponder arrives at the home, (s)he will reset the home ocmmunicator unit thus notifying the hospital staff that help has arrived. After assessing the situation, the responder or hospital will call further help as necessary. It will keep working up to 15 hours with a backup battery.
Program is for elderly or disabled to help with their being independent and stay in their homes.
