Our mission is to provide older adults facing health or social changes with the opportunity to build and maintain social, cognitive, and physical skills through a planned program of enriching activities.
Hand In Hand offers an energizing, interactive day for older adults who may be frail, socially isolated, or in need of supervision. Body, mind, and spirit become invigorated/renewed through enjoyable and stimulating mental and physical games and excercises. The secure and caring environment at Hand In Hand also gives caregivers a break to run errands, to rest, or to do whatever they need or desire to do. Accepts Family Care, private pay, and scholarship programs.
Service Area: Green County and residents of surrounding counties may be eligible.
Eligibility: Any individual 60 or older who may benefit from assistance from others in the tasks of daily living and/or a supervised "day out" may participate in the program. Individuals experiencing social isolation, frailty, or memory loss also benefit from Hand in Hand. In special cases, individuals under age 60 may participate.
Fees: A reasonable fee is charged for these services and separate donation for the meal is encouraged. Some programs will cover the cost. Complementary visits are encouraged. Scholarships are available.
