Description:
Law enforcement, corrections, county-wide communications facility, 24/7 drop-off site for unused pharmaceuticals.
The Patrol Division is the most visible division of the Sheriff's Department. 12 Uniformed Patrol Deputies directly serve our county's 20,000 plus citizens, responding to their calls for service, and patrolling the county's 345 square miles of county, state, and town roadways. There are two marked patrol squads scheduled 24 hours a day for normal county patrol. Kewaunee County is divided in to two zones; North Patrol and South Patrol. One squad covers each patrol zone. At times, a third squad, a Shift Sgt Squad manned by either Sgt Lawrence Ostermeier or Sgt. Dustin Smidle, is responsible for on duty supervisor duties as well as normal county patrol and assisting the other road officers with high risk calls or accidents.
