The goal of the united Family Caregivers program is to provide knowledge and support to people caring for a loved one with dementia. The program will teach you about dementia, what to expect in providing care for your loved one, and help you gain skills for managing the challenges that caregiving can bring. To participate, you need to:
* Be a resident of Milwaukee County.
*Live with a family member with memory loss or dementia and provide care for them.
*Have at least one person living near-by that can assist you.
*Attend four to six meetings with a Family Caregiver Specialist.
*Be African-American.
