Wind Ridge Home (W.R.H.), an AFH, opened its doors in Richland County in June of 1995 to serve ambulatory individuals with Developmental Disabilities, Emotionally Disturbed or Mental Illness in a rural setting.
Wind Ridge Home is a large 5 bedroom, 3 1/2 bath, and ranch style home. With 2 acres of lawn for activities that include a large garden, flower beds and a quiet country road for walks. Residents enjoy a quiet and relaxed setting with 22 acres of recreational land available.
Clients are encouraged, praised, assisted and supervised daily while making their own choices in their daily lives. Transportation is provided for respite care, family visits, medical appointments, Sunday services and daily activities as desired. Debra works closely with the individual, parents/guardians, case managers and medical professional to have optimum positive outcomes to those in her care. The home uses all the resources in the community to diversify each member and the community. It encourages personal safety, self direction and positive motivation in each individual Service Plan.
Wind Ridge Home is active in sports, volunteerism at Mick Memorial Park, weekly community activities through the Arc Wisconsin of Richland County and planning supervised W.R.H. vacations.
Eligibility: Ambulatory, developmental disabled, emotionally disturbed or mental illness.
