Description:
Children (under 19 years of age) with long term disabilities or complex medical needs who are living at home with their families are served by the Katie Beckett program. They must require a level of care at home equal to care provided in a hospital or nursing facility. The child's personal assets are taken into consideration and not the household income. The child's assets must be less than $2,000 and the child's income less than $1,737 a month. This program pays just medical, you do not get a monthly income as you would with the SSI program.
