Description:
he mission of Warmline, Inc., is to provide mental health consumers with a non-crisis support line that is staffed by people who "have been there." These trained peer counselors will listen and provide emotional support in a caring, non-judgmental manner. They will help with problem solving and refer callers to additional resources when appropriate. Warmline, Inc. will therefore support and promote the process of recovery, empowerment, hope, and healing to people with mental health challenges.
Individuals with mental health challenges who are in the mood to talk, need help solving a problem, or want resource information are welcome to call. Our callers decide the topic of the conversation. All support calls are kept confidential, and Warmline, Inc. does NOT have caller ID.
Trained and experienced Telephone Peer Counselors who are individuals with mental health conditions and are in a good place in their recovery are ready to listen and provide support.
Calls times are 6pm-10pm most evenings (usually not Tues & Thurs) and are limited to 15 minutes so that everybody who would like to talk has an opportunity to talk with a Telephone Peer Counselor. Calls are limited to 2 per evening. We request that callers wait at least one hour between calls.
