Description:
The primary goal of Project Lifesaver is to provide a timely response to save lives and reduce potential injury for adults and children who wander due to Alzheimer's, Autism, Down Syndrome and other related conditions.
Contact Marinette County Sheriff's Department. They will coordinate the placement of a radio transmitter on individuals who are at risk of wandering away from their homes. Trained law enforcement teams can then use the transmitter signal to locate these individuals should they wanter.
Most who wander are found within a few miles from home, and search times have been reduced from hours and days to minutes. Recovery times for Project Lifesaver clients average 30 mintues.
