Description:
Respite for primary caregivers so that they may have time off and companiionship for the person with memory loss. In-home respite may be arranged in both formal and informal ways including enlisting the help of family, friends, neighbors, church community, and/or home health or social services agencies. Using respite services may actually extend the period of time that a loved one can be cared for at home by helping to preserve the health of the caregiver.
