DAWN (Disability Advocates: Wisconsin Network) is a statewide grassroots cross-disability advocacy network of people who want to work for change in the legislation, programs and systems affecting people with disabilities. System changes can improve the quality of community living for people with disabilities.
Some of the advocacy issues include:
-Self-determination
-Self-directed services
-Medicaid prior authorization
-Special education
-Future of the State Centers
-Transition
-Voting and election reform
-Employment
-Self-advocay
-Direct service professionals-training
-Grassroots organizing
-Inclusion
