Wellness displays at Elderfest, Grant County Fair, and many other community events as well as in Grant County Schools (along with presentations on substance abuse prevention)
Coordinates alcohol and tobacco compliance checks conducted by trained officers and minors to limit underage youth access to alcohol and tobacco.
Promotes Rx Collection to keep unused drugs out of environment and to reduce Rx abuse.
Tobacco cessation programs (1st breath for pregnant women, N.O.T. for teens, and Freedom From Smoking for adults.
Strengthening families to teach love and limits to parents of 10-14 year olds.
Smoke free, alcohol, and other drug educational campaigns to keep Grant County safe and drug free.
Training for youth through annual Youth Leadership Conferences (grades 7-12) and peer monitoring programs. Help enhance anti-drug groups in schools after training.
Supports the Fresh Start Program which strives to reduce underage drinking violations.
Supports Underage Drinking Task Force to further cut down on underage drinking throughout the county.
Provide car chips to parents to reduce youth risky driving.
Supports Teen Court which utilizes trained adults and teen volunteers as a "court of peers" for youth accused of truancy, minor theft, and similar issues.
Coordinates "The Plunge" into the dangerous consequences of underage drinking. Involves a mock car crash, the hospital ER, the funeral home, the court house (mock hearing), and dynamic hearings.
